Debt problems of Students
Students and younger people of this generation is straining under the weight of college loans and other debt, a overwhelming load that makes them stand apart from every previous generation. Nearly two-thirds carry some debt problems, their late payments are rising as unlike the older generation they are not equipped to pay of their loan easily and they are likely to be late than any other person. High debt loads are causing anxiety, too. They’re facing tougher financial pressures than young people did in previous generations. Credit cards have been a seductive lure for many twenty plus who got them while in college or right after. Debt has forced some young people to change their career plans. They taken a job they otherwise wouldn’t have because they needed more money to pay off student-loan debt. Twenty-nine percent say they’ve put off or chosen not to pursue more education because they have so much debt problem already. And 26% have put off buying a home for the same reason.
