Make free 0845 calls from your BT number
BT numbers has become the first mobile operator in the UK to allow its customers to call an 0845 number was absolutely free of charges. The previous charges of calling to 0845 numbers were 10 pence per minute, but now you can make free 0845 from your BT number.
Although 0800 calls are free of charge from landlines, the leading mobile connections still charge up to 25 pence per minute for 0800 calls. This encourages customers those who use BT mobile numbers rather than landline for contacting company’s customer services. Since many companies have 0800 numbers at customer helpdesk, this makes customers feel free to call to these companies for sharing their enquiries with them. It is also beneficial for companies prospective as it is very affordable for them to receive charged mobile calls from customers and helps in establishing long-term relationship with their customers.
“We think that mobile customers are irritated by having to pay high rates to call ‘free’ 0800 numbers, so we have put our own house in order by making it free for any BT Mobile customer to call these numbers,” said John Petter, managing director of BT’s consumer business.
